WELCOME

Good nutrition and learning go hand in hand!

The Nutrition Services department is made up of a team of food and nutrition professionals that are dedicated to students' health, well being and their ability to learn. We support learning by promoting healthy habits for lifelong nutrition and fitness practices.

Meals, foods, and beverages sold or served at schools meet state and federal requirements which are based on the USDA Dietary Guidelines. We provide students with access to a variety of affordable and appealing foods that meet the health and nutrition needs of students.

LATEST UPDATES

As Louisa County Public Schools transitions to operating in a Fully Remote Learning Model beginning on Thursday, January 14th, we remain committed to providing healthy and nutritious meals for the children of our community! Accordingly, there are several ways your family can receive meals thanks to the hard work of our LCPS School Nutrition Team!

Option #1: LCPS Community Meals Service

LCPS offers meals for pick-up on Wednesdays and Fridays from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. at all six of our school campuses. These meals are free of charge to all children ages 2-18. No I.D. is required. For more details, please click here!

Option #2: LCPS Meal Delivery Service

While LCPS remains in the Fully Remote Learning Model, it will offer families the option to have meals delivered on Wednesdays and Fridays, free of charge! This program will begin on Friday, January 15th. If you would like to sign up for this service, please click here!

#TeamLCPS, thank you for your continued support and for allowing us the opportunity to serve you! If you have any further questions, please email LCPS Director of School Nutrition Randy Herman at hermanrs@lcps.k12.va.us.
